World of Warcraft's Next Expansion Pack

Rumor has it, from some information that the WOW Insider came across, that World of Warcraft will be getting yet another expansion pack made available to players, this time possibly sending players to the land of Northrend. We'll find out whether this rumor is true from BlizzCon, which is occuring this weekend.
UPDATE: 1UP.com has picked up even more evidence of a new WoW expansion, likely, as they report, to be titled "World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King". At this point, it looks almost certain WoW players will be heading to Northrend soon, that is, if they're of a high enough level.

Hellgate: London Preview

GameSpy gets a chance to take the upcoming game from Flagship Studios, Hellgate: London, for a spin in co-op mode. As you may recall, Flagship Studios is the development company started by ex-Blizzard employees, and Hellgate: London, an action-RPG inspired by the same type of game-mechanics Diablo made famous, is their flagship title (the term that inspired the name of their development company). Hellgate: London is set for release this Halloween.

Gears of War PC Interview

IGN sits down with the guys at Epic to discuss the PC version of the popular Xbox title Gears of War. It turns out PC users are going be the only players to get extras that can't be ported to the Xbox version of Gears of War, because the Xbox version of the game runs on an older version of the Unreal 3 Engine.

Beowulf Trailer

Back at the end of May, Ubisoft announced that it would be partnering with the people behind a new, CG version of the epic-poem Beowulf to develop and release a game of the same name. Anyone who's a fan of Rune or God of War might be interested in taking a look at this game's trailer which debuted today. Yes, it's a movie game, which almost inevitably means it's doomed for failure, but the movie almost is just a really long video game trailer, so that has to count for something, right?

Another developer, Tragnarion Studios, has opened their eyes to the fact that people absolutely love cooperative gameplay, and as a response, they've been working on a new cooperative shooting game called "The Scourge Project." It's visuals look promising, a little bit like Half-Life was imported into the Unreal 3 Engine, and it's certainly not hard to find some fun playing any game that involves co-op mode.
