Description |
The Guard of Istiniar started as a competitive European clan for Mount and Blade: Warband. The clan was founded during the later stages of beta testing for that game, on the 20th of February 2010.
In September 2011 we transformed the clan into a multi-gaming clan and are looking to branch out into other games. We value maturity and behaviour over skill and therefore recruit and manage our members and servers accordingly. We believe that skills for any games can be trained, but that maturity and good behaviour cannot - at least not with the resources at our disposal. For that reason we have a quite extensive set of rules and a one-month trial in which we assess potential new members. After that one month, one of our committees discusses each individual Recruit and votes to determine if the majority is in favour of accepting that Recruit as a permanent member or not. Members of these committees are either elected or veteran players that have been in the clan for a long time and have proven to be dependable members. The clan is lead by the Executive Committee, consisting of the President and two Vice Presidents. A second committee, the Board of Directors is responsible for creation and alteration of rules and authorises the forming of new Branches. Both committees are subject to the Constitution (i.e. the rules), just like everyone else. The Vice Presidents and Consultants (members of the Board of Directors) are elected by the whole clan and serve for a period of six months - or longer if they are re-elected. Every full member of the clan has a right to vote for these officers and has, depending on his or her rank, other rights and responsibilities. Our forum, which is also linked on the website, has sections restricted to clan-members, but also areas for public and off-topic discussion or for ban-appeals, in case one has been banned from our game-servers. |
